Welcome to BEcon 2018, Silicon Valley’s premier high school business and economics conference. The conference will be hosted at The Harker School on March 24th, 2018, and we look forward to seeing you all there! The conference features keynotes from some of the top business professionals and economists in the Bay Area, interactive booths, opportunities to pitch business plans to top venture capitalists at sHarker tank, business and economics workshops, and much more.
We need motivated individuals outside Harker to expand our reach and be a part of the planning process for the conference. See the survey below if you are interested in becoming a BEcon ambassador for 2018. All students in different grade levels and schools are eligible to apply. Thank you!
BEcon 2018 aims to showcase some of the most disruptive, innovative companies in the Silicon Valley by bringing booth representatives to our conference. Last year, students had the chance to experience companies like virtual reality by using a state-of-the-art Google HTC Vive technology.
BEcon aims to educate attendees on a variety of topics, from the how to start their own company to the principles of finance and economics. These workshops are taught by industry leaders and esteemed college professors. Some examples of workshops include Startup 101 and the Principles of Finance, taught by Wharton professor Keith Weigelt.
Tom Kosnik will be the keynote speaker at BEcon 2018. Kosnik is a Professor at Stanford University in their Management Science and Engineering department.
